Unfortunately I was very disappointed with my skis. I have a 3-wheeled running stroller and walk my dog (with my baby) at least 1-2 hours daily, all year round in all seasons/weather. I bought these skis with the hopes it would make our walks more enjoyable on the snowy days. Unfortunately they don’t work well in snow deeper than a few cm. I find with my 3 wheeled stroller, it is actually easier to push the stroller through/over snow without the skis on, for both sidewalks and park terrain where the snow has been packed down.
The skis are made to be “one size fits all” which does not pair well for a product that you need to be durable in poor weather conditions. They strap on with Velcro and I pull on the Velcro as hard as I can to make it as tight as possible. When I attempt to push the stroller over a mound of snow (such as a mound made by a side walk plow), the skis will often slip to the side and become crooked. If I’m trying to get over a larger hump (like to cross a road into a park where a plow has gone by), they often become completely stuck under the snow and I’ve had to lift up the stroller while stuck in deep snow to get the ski back on track. (It gets stuck facing upwards towards the ski).
I cannot recommend this product, as I find the skis are not functional enough for “snow storm”/“day after snow storm” weather…..which for me is why I felt I could benefit from using them. They work fine once the sidewalks have been fully cleared, or the snow has melted/packed down, but in that case i find it is easier and more energy efficient to just push your regular wheeled stroller or use a carrier/backpack. I really wanted to love this product, but if you have a 3 wheeled running stroller like myself, I would not invest in this! :(
